About the location:

Your own private paradise on a lush coral island. On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. We’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. Our rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.

1- Converse with guests and answer questions regarding the recreation facilities and the resort

2- Provide orientation of recreation facilities if the guest requests

3- Assist guests with recreation equipment, towels, sport specific wear and gear and water as needed

4- Test operation of all gym equipment daily, inclusive of TV's, if assigned to the fitness center

5- Conduct fitness activity group/Private session as per guest request Enrolled in tennis match/Private lesson

6- Promote and up sell excursions to guests, customizing where necessary to meet guest needs

7- Responsible for the different recreational weekly activities, running these activities with guests with high level of professionalism and connection

8- Maintaining the different beaches Recreational material in place and ready for guest usage (inspect the paddle boards, Kayaks, Life jackets, Toys, etc.)

9- Be present where the weekly pop up bar is on the beach of the day to make sure the guest’s needs and expectations are met in regards of the water sports equipment & main facilities.

10- Adhere to all corporate core standards in execution of programming

11- Work closely with supervisor/ Manager to ensure proper standards of hygiene and functioning of equipment

12- Assist in handling guest requests, complaints, and any special problems keeping Recreation Management well-informed of action and follow-up

13- Participate fully in all departmental training as outlined by your manager Perform any other tasks or projects as assigned by the hotel management and staff.

Non-Essential Functions:

1. Assist with responsibilities and duties in the conservation activities and different guest’s bookings in the absence of conservation guide.

2. Perform other duties or projects as assigned by hotel & department management.

3. Align with Forbes & LQA standards in all the services & guest connection you provide.
