About the role

What success looks like in this role:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Load Control / Weight & Balance processes and systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
  • Translate complex operational needs into functional specifications and user stories
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure accurate implementation of W&B logic, constraints, and regulatory requirements
  • Support solution design, validation, and UAT cycles, including defect triage and resolution
  • Ensure alignment with aviation standards, safety regulations, and defense compliance requirements
  • Drive process improvements and optimization across load planning and aircraft configuration workflows
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and cross-functional alignment

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong domain expertise in Load Control / Weight & Balance
  • Hands-on experience with aircraft load planning systems, payload optimization, and CG calculations
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks (e.g., ICAO, EASA, or military standards)
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical deliverables
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on defense or government aviation programs (e.g., Ministry of Defence or similar)
  • Familiarity with digital aviation platforms or transformation programs
  • Exposure to data modeling, system integrations, and APIs
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent)
