Job Responsibilities:
Provides Human Resources support to all departments. Carries out communication and tasks to implement and maintain Human Resources practices and policies that are consistent, clear and understood by management and employees. Provides guidance and instruction on HR policies and systems as required.
Duties and Responsibility:
- Salary starting at $70,000
- Immediate, open position
- Provide daily support to employees while fostering positive employee relations.
- Provide support and prepare documentation for hourly performance reviews.
- Lead full cycle recruitment process.
- Participate in the development and regular updating of company policies, programs and the Employee Handbook.
- Support management when dealing with employee concerns, conduct workplace investigations as required.
- Advise managers and employees on the interpretation and administration of company policies and procedures.
- Actively prepare, participate and continuously improve the employee orientation and onboarding program.
- Audit and support management with time and attendance for biweekly pay through Dayforce system
- Conducts exit interviews with departing employees as required.
- Actively participate in the coordination of company events and service award programs.
- Ensures effective and accurate administration of employee records in employee database systems (Workday / Dayforce).
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all HR and employee documentation.
- Manage STA and leave of absences, including work accommodation and correspondence
- Communicate daily with the temporary agencies supporting production requirements and maintain temporary tracking.
- Support employees with Dayforce / Workday / Payroll inquiries and training
- Ensure shop floor visibility and coverage for all shifts as required;
- Assist with HR Projects as assigned.
- Ensures excellent customer service both internally and externally at all times.
- Performs other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of Post Graduate College diploma or University degree in Human Resources required
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resources role, automotive industry preferred
- Experience working with Workday & Dayforce or similar HRIS preferred
- Working knowledge of employment legislation is required
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and committed to working collaboratively with peers and other departments
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution effectively
- Professional, responsive and excellent interpersonal skills are required
- Strong computer literacy required: MS Office; Excel/Word/Power Point/Outlook
