Job Description: CAD Associate

Location: This position will be based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D electrical CAD models, including routing of electrical wire harnesses using tools such as SolidWorks Electrical / 3D CAD platforms
- Create and update detailed 2D electrical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation using AutoCAD or equivalent tools
- Design and optimize electrical wiring harness layouts, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards
- Collaborate with mechanical and systems teams to integrate electrical components within 3D assemblies
- Support BOM generation, drawing releases, and engineering change documentation (ECR/ECO)
- Ensure adherence to design standards, documentation practices, and quality requirements
- Basic understanding of Ferrule, Heat shrink, connectors and cables.
- Maintain Electrical CAD library.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in 3D Electrical CAD tools (SolidWorks Electrical / equivalent)
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D electrical drawings
- Experience in wire harness design, routing, and documentation
- Exposure to PLM tools (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter, Windchill)
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles for electrical systems
Degree and Qualification:
- Foundation Degree / Diploma / in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Training in SolidWorks Electrical Professional (Schematic & 3D Routing)
- Certification or coursework in AutoCAD Electrical / Electrical Drafting
