WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct signal-of-interest testing and configure devices as a drone expert.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for drones and drone technology, with in-depth knowledge of various models.
- Serve as the go-to expert on drone technology within the team.
- Perform signal characterizations, including building and recording data.
- Set up, execute, and analyze test experiments according to established procedures, documenting findings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and root cause production-related issues.
- Update existing test systems to enhance automation, consistency, and coverage based on engineering instructions.
- Maintain and calibrate electrical and mechanical test equipment.
- Document test plans, user instructions, and manuals.
- Travel to test sites and external laboratories as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold FAA Part 107 certification
- Familiarity with Mission Planner and Q Ground Control; experience with Pixhawk or other flight controllers.
- Previous experience conducting signal-of-interest testing and configure devices as a drone expert.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active engagement in the COTS DJI community.
- Active in the Radio Control (RC) community
- Proficiency in setting up and executing test experiments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a production environment.
- Experience with automation and updating test systems.
