QuillBot
Job Description
About Us
QuillBot was founded in 2017 with a mission to help students and professionals strengthen their writing. Today, we help over 56 million people around the world create great things. Whether you're writing, designing, coding, or collaborating, QuillBot is a place where anyone can create at the speed of thought. Our AI-powered tools help you think clearly, communicate effectively, and create beautifully—across every platform, in any format, at any skill level. If you're passionate about using technology to make the path from inspiration to execution more accessible, intentional, and relevant, come join us.
Role Overview
Now we’re building a full AI-powered creation platform that supports them from the first spark of an idea to a finished, shareable piece of work.
The creation suite is a key pillar of this evolution, the space where users can transform their words into visually compelling assets: presentations, campaigns, PDFs, social posts, and more.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead this effort and shape the future of how people create with QuillBot.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the creation suite from MVP to a flagship QuillBot product—driving the roadmap, success metrics, and user experience.
- Own the end-to-end user journey for visual creation—from ideation to layout to export.
- Partner with engineers, designers, marketing, brand, SEO and researchers to turn text and ideas into adaptive, multimodal outputs.
- Define and validate workflows, templates, and design systems that make non-designers feel like creators.
- Collaborate closely with the Writing and Chat product teams to ensure seamless handoffs between idea, draft, and design.
- Use data, research, and product intuition to balance user delight, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Lead a cross-functional pod toward measurable outcomes—traffic, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Qualification
- 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years building/growing creation or design-centric products.
- A track record of taking consumer-facing tools from 0→1 or 1→N, ideally with products in the creative or productivity space.
- Experience in AI-assisted or automation-heavy workflows—text-to-image, auto-layout, or generative creation—is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of UX for creative tools and empathy for non-technical users.
- Strong design sensibility—you understand layout, visual hierarchy, and what makes creation feel effortless.
- Data-driven mindset; comfort working with analytics to inform decisions and measure success.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across design, engineering, marketing, and leadership.
What You Can Expect to Do in Your 180 Days
First 30 Days: Learn & Align
- Deep-dive into QuillBot’s creation platform vision, user personas, and current MVP.
- Understand the existing creation suite experience, performance metrics, and user pain points.
- Conduct a competitive benchmarking.
- Build strong partnerships with Design, Engineering, and AI/UX Research leads.
- Align on near-term success metrics and team priorities.
30-90 Days: Define & Prioritize
- Craft a clear roadmap for post-MVP development—defining which workflows, templates, and features matter most.
- Lead early experiments in user experience, template expansion, and AI-assisted creation.
- Establish analytics and feedback loops for measuring product success.
- Partner with marketing and growth to position the creation suite within QuillBot’s ecosystem.
