As Senior Compensation Partner reporting to the Senior Manager of Compensation, you bring deep expertise and a strong partnership mindset to Riot’s people, product, discipline, and regional leaders. You act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner on all things related to compensation, combining rigorous analytical thinking with creativity, curiosity, and sound judgment. You develop a deep understanding of the business/region you support and collaborate closely with HR leaders and partners to design compensation solutions that align with Riot’s compensation philosophy, support business goals, and ensure equitable and competitive outcomes for Rioters. While you are very comfortable working with data and managing key compensation processes, your greatest impact comes from your ability to translate insights into thoughtful, practical solutions while guiding leaders and HR partners through complex pay decisions. 

You are known as a go-to resource for compensation guidance, navigating nuance, challenging assumptions and thinking beyond rigid frameworks, while still upholding Riot’s commitment to fair, consistent and principled pay practices. You help elevate understanding of compensation across Riot by educating leaders and partners, mentoring teammates, and helping to shape compensation programs that work for Riot’s unique culture and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted compensation advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and business leaders, providing thoughtful guidance on complex compensation decisions and helping leaders navigate tradeoffs while maintaining alignment with Riot’s compensation philosophy and pay equity principles.
  • Partner deeply with client groups to understand their business strategy, talent needs, and organizational dynamics, using those insights to shape compensation recommendations and solutions that support both people and business outcomes.
  • Design and administer pay practices and governance to help ensure that Riot's compensation programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead and help evolve compensation processes like annual compensation planning, off-cycle review governance, and job matching, ensuring they are effective, scalable, and supportive of sound decision making. 
  • Partner in the ongoing maturation of Riot’s job architecture, helping design practical, data driven workflows across leaders, HRBPs, and compensation partners that support clarity and consistency.
  • Evaluate and support international compensation programs, ensuring they remain equitable, current, and aligned with Riot’s broader compensation philosophy while reflecting regional realities.
  • Proactively analyze market data, internal trends, and talent insights (such as turnover, hiring competitiveness, and offer acceptance rates) to assess the positioning of roles within client groups and recommend thoughtful actions.
  • Collaborate with the broader Compensation team to bring business insights that inform program design and improvement; help develop and maintain compensation programs, systems and tools.
  • Partner with the People Systems team on compensation-related implementations and process improvements, helping ensure systems and workflows support efficient and informed decision-making.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing within the compensation team and across Riot to strengthen compensation literacy and capability.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging practices, and regulatory developments in compensation and total rewards, bringing forward ideas that help Riot continue to evolve its approach.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in a compensation or total rewards role, demonstrating increase in scope, ownership, and impact
