The Research & Data Analyst plays a pivotal role within WPP Media's Data & Analytics team, responsible for the comprehensive analysis, processing, and automation of multiple available data sources. This includes leveraging a range of platforms and technologies, with a strong emphasis on integrating AI-based tools. This position serves as a critical support function, collaborating with internal stakeholders, external clients, and strategic partners to provide data-driven insights that inform and optimize various decision-making processes across the company and for WPP Media's clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis, Integration of Sources, and Contextualization:

  • Conduct thorough data analysis, prioritizing the practical applicability and business impact of conclusions drawn from insights.
  • Proactively identify, search for, and integrate diverse internal and external data sources to enrich interpretations and add significant value to analyses.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

2. Contribution to WPP Media's Data & Analytics Offering:

  • Actively contribute to the development and refinement of WPP Media's Data & Analytics presentations, proposals, and bespoke products.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with the company's data suppliers and, where necessary, clients, specifically within the data and automation sphere.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, responding promptly and accurately to media research requirements and contributing to their resolution.

3. Automation and Optimization of Data-Driven Processes:

  • Design and develop innovative, automated data analysis formats and dashboards for reporting purposes, enhancing efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with client-facing colleagues to establish robust, periodic reports that effectively meet client needs while simultaneously minimizing manual effort through automation.
  • Provide expert support and guidance across various departments to streamline data handling, storage, and processing workflows.
  • Champion and contribute to the seamless integration of new and emerging data sources into existing workflows and analytical frameworks.

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in roles directly involving data manipulation, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Previous experience within the media industry (media agencies, broadcasters, publishers, ad tech) is a significant advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of consumer and/or media audience analysis
  • Knowledge of specialized media tools (e.g., Infosys+, SNA Focus / SATI Sesame, Masor, AdvantEdge/K2) is a plus
  • Proficiency in automation tools (PowerBI, Google Looker Studio, etc.) is a plus
  • English language proficiency (written and spoken) – advanced level
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite – advanced level
  • Attention to detail, ability to work in varying category/brand/marketing objective contexts, including strong prioritization skills
  • Maximum openness to integrating AI into daily processes
  • Open, communicative attitude, problem-solving orientation, rigor, promptness, good organization.
