At Gracent Pediatric Therapy, we’re seeking a passionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You’ll provide personalized, in-clinic therapy through evaluations and individualized treatment plans designed to meet each child’s unique needs. Requirements
- Hold an Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Certification and registration as a COTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Possess current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Demonstrate 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for previous pediatric setting work.
- Show a solid understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, with a proven ability to implement therapy plans efficiently.
- Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective collaboration with both our therapy team and clients' families.
- Display a genuine commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring you remain informed about the cutting edge of occupational therapy practices.
Your role as a COTA
As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will:
- Collaborate closely with our occupational therapist to execute tailored therapy plans for our diverse clientele.
- Perform comprehensive client assessments to gauge their needs and monitor progress.
- Aid clients in daily activities aimed at boosting their independence and overall well-being.
- Diligently document all client progress and any notable changes in their condition, ensuring precise and timely reports.
- Foster effective communication with the therapy team and clients' families to guarantee coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Stay abreast of the latest occupational therapy practices and advancements, continuously seeking to enhance the quality of our services.
