What You'll Be Doing...

The Network Engineer for PSAP Contact Database innovation will drive the strategic adoption of next-generation technologies to automate, enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of the PSAP Contact Database initiative.

  • The purpose will be to drive change and efficiency via automation to transition a manual work flow into an automated pipeline.

  • The data set is contact information for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) that have a US national footprint.  The accuracy of the data set ensures federal compliance requirements are met.

  • The work includes PSAP outreach to verify contact information.  The work must include robust response tracking and fallout protocols for manual review.

  • The integrity of the dataset not only ensures federal compliance requirements are met, it ensures that the correct PSAP personnel get critical information in a timely manner.

What We’re Looking For...
You possess an "automation mindset"—the innate ability to look at a manual process and visualize an automated solution. You are a detail-oriented analyst who enjoys exploring various systems to find meaningful trends within large datasets. You thrive in a role that requires both independent investigation and collaborative synchronization with the global team.

You’ll Need to Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience

  • Foundational Python knowledge or significant experience in Network Automation.

  • Proven experience with data analysis, specifically the ability to identify trends within complex datasets

  • Experience or the ability to quickly gain proficiency in multiple systems (ECHO) and integrate automation utilizing Google GMAIL/Sheets (Echo)

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written

  • Willingness to work a schedule that includes overlap with US East Coast day shift (specifically for weekly staff meetings and initial training)

Even Better if You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • The ability to interpret existing automation workflows and further enhance their capabilities

  • Experience with large-scale IT systems and infrastructure

  • Strong technical background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) concepts and their application to solve real-world business problems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay in sync with a distributed team across different time zones.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above
