Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team in Krakow, focused on building next-generation cloud solutions for Factory Operations.

This is a people leadership role first, where you will drive team performance, support career growth, and foster strong collaboration across a globally distributed organization (US, India, Europe).

You will play a key role in delivering scalable, cloud-based solutions while working closely with product, design, and engineering partners worldwide.

This role requires strong cross-cultural collaboration, comfort working across time zones, and flexibility when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, with a strong focus on performance management, career growth, and engagement

• Drive hiring and team scaling, ensuring a strong and sustainable team structure

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

• Partner with global teams across time zones to deliver high-quality solutions

• Connect team objectives to broader organizational goals and strategy

• Remove blockers and manage dependencies across teams and regions

• Ensure delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions

• Support resolution of complex production and customer issues

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in a people management role

• Proven experience leading teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution

• Strong collaboration skills with experience working across distributed, international teams

• Solid technical background in modern cloud-based architectures, with the ability to guide engineering decisions
  (hands-on coding is not required, but technical credibility is essential)

• Experience delivering scalable software in a B2B SaaS environment

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Additional Expectations

• Comfortable working across multiple time zones (US and India)

• Flexibility to adjust schedule when needed for global collaboration

• Willingness to travel occasionally (Europe, and potentially US or India), in line with leadership expectations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms and modern web technologies

• Background in multi-tenant systems or platform development

• Experience in digital twin, AEC, or industrial/manufacturing domains

• Experience leading teams working on complex, distributed systems
