About the role
The Campus Security Specialist III supports day-to-day security operations at the company’s corporate headquarters. This role combines armed physical security, investigations, security technology management, threat assessment, and the development of security policies and procedures within a dynamic corporate environment. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding people, assets, and operations while collaborating across the organization to strengthen and enhance the overall enterprise security posture.
Campus Security Specialist III Duties
- Provide armed security presence and rapid response to incidents and emergencies
- Conduct patrols, monitor access points, and enforce security protocols
- Lead or support incident investigations, including workplace violence cases
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders
- Monitor and manage CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Review, export, and analyze video for investigations
- Administer badge access, audits, and lifecycle management
- Partner with IT and vendors on system upgrades and troubleshooting
- Conduct threat assessments and identify mitigation strategies
- Perform physical security assessments across facilities
- Stay informed on emerging threats and security trends
- Support and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Deliver security awareness training (workplace violence, emergency response, etc.)
- Lead drills (evacuation, lockdown) and promote readiness
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, IT, and executive leadership
Campus Security Specialist III Requirements
- Experience in a corporate headquarters or enterprise environment
- Experience with video surveillance (CCTV), access control systems, and security technology
- Strong understanding of physical security, investigations, and risk management
- Experience in training, policy development, or threat management

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent - Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or related field preferred
Years of Related Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military
Licenses/Certifications Valid Tennessee armed security guard license and firearms certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Industry certifications (CPP, PSP, or similar)
Campus Security Specialist III Work Environment
- Primarily day shift with flexibility for extended hours, nights/weekends, and on-call response
- Ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies
- Occasional travel required
- Must maintain firearms proficiency and required certifications
