Job Description
Insituform Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Engineer who will be responsible for oversight and project support for production, quality, and project management standards.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for pre-bid site surveys, contract execution/project start-up, and closeout.
Work with field crews and subcontractors to track and manage project costs, meet expected production rates and gross profit margins.
Attend pre-bid, pre-construction and project status meetings with our customers.
Prepare, submit, and track submittals and RFI’s.
Assist with scheduling jobs.
Prepare scopes of work and assist with awarding of subcontracts.
Handle material procurement jobs.
Following are examples of requirements that may be specific to a particular project:
Advanced site inspections 5-6 weeks in advance to assist in scheduling
CCTV inspections of sites 4 weeks in advance for cleaning and CIPP viability
Meetings with municipalities and traffic control subcontractors to assist in developing traffic control plans
Meetings with flow control personnel for bypass and pump(s) set up
Assist in scheduling with job superintendent to finalize with project manager
Attend progress meetings when possible
Communicate with the county project manager
Assist in Distribution of 2-day notification, posting of No Parking signs and completion of CIPP Tracking Notification list; subsequent submittal to the county at the end of each week
Meet with homeowners and businesses to discuss property issues
Communicate with project manager daily to meet long term project needs
Assist in completing punch list work
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 2+ years of related field construction management experience OR 5+ years of field construction experience managing an annual $1MM portfolio of projects.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Solid understanding of the basic principles in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred.
Previous experience in water/sewer or municipal environment is a plus.
Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel.
Primavera and JD Edwards software experience a plus.
Strong focus on customer satisfaction required.
Must be able to travel as needed (approximately 25%).
