Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Transaction Banking Technology space. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working across multiple software platforms and implementing SaaS solutions. This role involves contributing to the design, development, integration of enterprise systems across various initiatives and the responsible adoption of AI‑enabled capabilities to drive efficiency and resiliency.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering scalable and high-availability solutions. You will work closely with global cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical planning, architectural decisions, and performance tuning for mission-critical systems with measurable efficiency gains (e.g., 20x improvement in processing speed).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Oversee the delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Supervise engineering teams working on Java-based web and enterprise applications, ensuring adherence to development best practices, code quality, and test coverage.
• Champion system upgrades, service reliability, and platform scalability across legacy and modern architectures using technologies like Spring Boot, Kafka, and IBM MQ.
• Guide the adoption of AI‑assisted engineering capabilities to improve system monitoring, testing, incident response, and developer productivity.
• Monitor system performance using Splunk, SonarQube, and drive incident resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement SaaS solutions, driving the adoption of best practices and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
• 10+ years of software engineering experience across enterprise systems.
• Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL, with additional experience in REST API, React.js, JavaScript, and Docker.
• Experience leading Agile DevOps teams as Tech Lead and Scrum Master with ability to manage concurrent projects.
• Strong background in enterprise application development, including backend API design, microservices, and database architecture.
• Demonstrated success in optimizing system performance.
• Skilled in cloud-based development and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience applying AI or intelligent automation to software delivery or operational processes.

• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools and modern engineering productivity platforms (e.g., coding copilots, automated code review, AI‑driven testing).

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring teams and delivering high-impact solutions.
• Adept at cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and incident resolution.
• Experience in adapting to evolving requirements and driving product innovation.

Preferred AI & Advanced Skillset

• Experience applying AI/ML or intelligent automation in enterprise systems (e.g., operational analytics, decision support, anomaly detection, or workflow automation).
• Understanding of data pipelines, model integration, and API‑based AI services.
• Exposure to LLM‑based workflows, prompt engineering, or retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) in enterprise contexts is a plus.
• Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical, production‑ready solutions aligned to business outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is between $168K - $205K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
