The Opportunity

The Senior Infrastructure Architect is a senior individual‑contributor role responsible for the architecture, technical direction, and long‑term health of a defined portfolio of enterprise infrastructure platforms.

This role ensures infrastructure solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and operationally reliable, supporting both member‑facing services and core business operations. Working at an enterprise level, the Senior Infrastructure Architect translates business and technology strategy into practical, supportable architectures that balance today’s stability with future needs.

The role provides senior technical leadership across its portfolio, owning architectural standards and platform lifecycle decisions. While it does not include people management, the role leads through technical credibility, collaboration with operations and delivery teams, and stewardship of critical infrastructure platforms.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Own and shape the future of enterprise infrastructure by acting as a senior technical authority across cloud and on‑prem environments, defining long-term platform direction and infrastructure solutions that enable decentralized teams to build and operate securely.
• Act as the authoritative infrastructure representative in architecture governance forums, owning the definition, stewardship, and evolution of secure‑by‑design standards and reusable infrastructure patterns adopted across the enterprise.
• Translate long term architectural vision into executable strategy, establishing reference architectures, standards, and technical roadmaps - while remaining hands-on to ensure successful delivery and real-world impacts.
• Influence enterprise technology direction by distilling complex technical challenges, emerging trends, and architectural trade-offs into clear guidance for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor and grow the technical capabilities of the infrastructure team, with a focus on infrastructure automation, code‑driven operations, and reducing manual effort helping evolve the team toward a platform‑oriented operating model.
• Continuously assess and introduce emerging technologies, balancing innovation with operational excellence, security, and long-term sustainability.
• Establish and lead pragmatic decision‑making and governance frameworks, ensuring infrastructure changes are reviewed consistently, documented clearly, and aligned with enterprise strategy - without slowing down delivery.

What You Bring to the Table

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive experience leading the design and evolution of enterprise infrastructure, with a track record of influencing architecture across multiple domains
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex, cross-domain challenges spanning networking, compute, storage, containers, and identity across hybrid environments
• Proven experience driving automation at scale, reducing operational overhead and enabling platform-based delivery models
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering secure, resilient, cloud-native and hybrid architectures, including deep familiarity with AWS
• 4+ years of applied experience with software-defined infrastructure, including infrastructure automation using tools such as CDK, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar
• Strong scripting experience in at least one language (PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent)
• Experience delivering infrastructure automation in a version‑controlled workflow, including peer review practices (e.g., pull requests) to ensure changes are well‑documented, supportable, and repeatable
• Experience defining enterprise-level blueprints, standards, and roadmaps that drive consistency and scalability
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, aligning diverse teams toward shared infrastructure standards and practices

• You’ll get bonus points if you have:
  • AWS (Solutions Architect Professional, CloudOps Engineer Administrator - Associate)
  • Experience designing or implementing agentic AI workflows, including the use of AI agents, reusable skills, and supporting orchestration or runtime services (e.g., MCP‑style servers)
