Role Overview:
- Own lineside material availability across assigned production areas
- Ensure no production stoppages due to missing hardware or consumables
- Execute real-time material movement, replenishment, and kitting
- Maintain and operate kanban / pull-based replenishment systems
- Support high-rate production environments with fast, reliable execution
- Prioritize production needs above all secondary tasks
Responsibilities:
- Lineside Execution
- Maintain required levels of lineside hardware and consumables at all times
- Refill bins, kits, and point-of-use inventory to support continuous production
- Respond immediately to shortages or risks of line holds; escalate only when blocked
- Transfer material between locations, stockrooms, and lines as required to support production
- Ensure correct material, quantity, and configuration are available at point of use
- Replenishment & Flow
- Execute and maintain kanban / pull systems for consumables and repeat-use hardware
- Monitor inventory signals and trigger replenishment before shortages occur
- Support basic material tracking and accuracy within ERP / inventory systems
- Identify gaps in material flow and communicate improvements to factory leadership
- Production Support & Coordination
- Act as the first line of defense against material-driven downtime
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Stockroom teams to resolve shortages
- Support rapid recovery during production disruptions by prioritizing critical builds
- Maintain clear communication with line leads on material status and risks
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production support environments
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-mix or high-rate production settings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in real time with minimal supervision
- Basic familiarity with inventory systems, material handling, and shop floor operations
- Physically capable of moving materials and working on the factory floor for extended periods
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting lineside material or kitting operations
- Familiarity with kanban or pull-based replenishment systems
- Exposure to electronics or hardware manufacturing environments
- Experience coordinating with stockroom, logistics, or supply chain teams
- Forklift or material handling certification (if applicable)
