Location: This role can be based out of our New York or New Jersey office. We have a flexible hybrid policy.
 

Role Summary

This position is within the Shareowner Services. EQ provides stock transfer services for over 600 corporate clients with over 4,500,000 shareholders. The Events Processing team is responsible for balancing and allocation of dividend, Treasury and Open market ESPP purchases, Processing scheduled vesting including open market transactions, Processing of Maturities and taking care of Proxy reports and data submission in coordination with client and tabulators along with other miscellaneous tasks

The selected candidate will perform a variety of operational tasks for simple or routine securities or cash related transactions and processes. The Investment Plan Services team is responsible for balancing and allocation of dividend, voluntary cash and payroll purchases, as well executing market trades for sales transactions submitted by the participants of the plans we administer. We are seeking passionate and engaged individuals who takes great pride in their work, inspired and motivated by their role in protecting and enhancing our client’s financial well-being

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Process daily Issuance related tasks and share issuance related processes.
  • Performs a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash related transactions that require extensive knowledge of Equity products and functions.
  • Differentiating, processing, and reconciling transactions; researching inquiries; resolving customer complaints; reviewing time sensitive and/or complex documents; creating or revising departmental procedures. 
  • Coordinates situations involving multiple departments.  May provide department level reporting using multiple sources. 
  • May provide training or work direction to junior level staff. 
  • Provides back-up to other desks. 
  • May have extensive customer contact; works under minimal supervision
  • Work alongside the India team to ensure best practices are shared and service standards are met.
  • Take ownership of resolution of any risks or issues identified and ensure Team Leader/Manager is fully aware of any ongoing issues.
  • Support the team deliverable by undertaking a range of roles and tasks when required.
  • Work with the team and optimize the timely completion of all due/scheduled tasks and routine deliverables along with any assigned projects ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contact in all relevant areas and other departments.
  • Must be willing to support and work after hours in case of emergencies with critical deliverables.
  • A candidate with experience in equity plans and operational background will have an added advantage.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviors:

  • 3+ years in one or a combination of the following: transfer agent experience, financial services, accounting, business processing, analytical, or operations
  • Experience in an operational environment
  • Prior Operations or Securities Industry experience
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Experience using Equitrax
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Data Analytics
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Proficient in Excel and utilizing the Vlookup function
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation:

  • $25.00-27.00 hourly
