YOUR MISSION
To become the go-to colleague when it comes to finance and strategy topics: you aim to connect commercial leaders to the financial insights that help guide their decision making to build a growing, profitable, and sustainable business. You act as a thought partner to provide unique analysis of new project opportunities and to shape the long-term strategic direction of one of Glovo’s fastest growing business lines.
THE JOURNEY
You will be joining a growing team, with ambitious targets and with a clear path towards making the business sustainable. For this reason, you will be key:
- Being part of the Global Q-Commerce Finance & Strategy team, reporting to the Q-Commerce Head of Finance & Strategy and working together with 1-2 colleagues on the different subverticals of the business unit.
- Collaborating with the directors and heads of the Q-Commerce team to develop profitability and value added analysis for the business.
- Implement the best practices identified in one market to the others, creating roll-out plans to improve the global performance.
- Take ownership of the monthly reporting and controlling functions from HQ, challenging local teams to ensure that our targets are met.
- Managing the Business Plan (and reforecast) process.
- Dealing with many stakeholders both at HQ and International level.
- Working closely with the Global Finance Teams to solve day-to-day topics that may arise.
- Being proactive when it comes to improving the processes already implemented. We do not do things because this is “how it has been done until now”.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
In order to be able to enjoy the journey, we expect from you:
- To be empathetic, inclusive and curious.
- To have a degree in Business or Economics, or another degree background with substantial post-graduate business experience.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience. Audit, Finance, Consultancy or customer experience is a plus.
- To show mastery when it comes to Excel / Google Sheets knowledge.
- To be proactive and don’t run away from uncomfortable discussions.
- To ensure that things are done on time: you are always driving and being diligent.
- To have a strong oral communication.
Individuals representing diverse profiles, and abilities, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas. Even if it seems you don't meet our musts don't let it stop you, we are all about finding the best talent out there! Skills can be learned, and embracing diversity is invaluable.<
