About the Role:

The Chief Operating Office (COO) Chief Administrative Office (COO CAO) is instrumental in driving organizational value for our businesses, regulators, and stakeholders. With core responsibilities spanning Risk and Control, Issue Management, Quality Assurance, Transformation, and Regulatory Standards, the COO CAO is vital in enabling the execution of Citi’s Vision and Strategy.

The COO Issue Quality Assurance (IQA) team, an established function within COO CAO, is dedicated to providing robust oversight, facilitating critical reviews, and supporting Citi's effective management of operational risks.

The Issue Quality Assurance (IQA) Innovation and Analytics Lead, based in Mumbai, India, is responsible for providing analytical support for issue remediation quality reviews. This role requires the application of advanced analytical, visualization, and presentation techniques to generate comprehensive reports, fulfill ad-hoc data requests, and deliver compelling presentations. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual contributor who collaborates effectively within a global and diverse team. Proficiency in advanced data analytics technologies, tools, and techniques, expert-level MS PowerPoint skills, and a strong understanding of processes, risks, and controls are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing expert opinions across diverse technical domains to ensure timely and high-quality completion of issue remediation.
  • Apply strong visualization skills to independently create effective and impactful reports.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data analytics projects within the function.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of IQA's in-house workflow tooling.
  • Assist the COO IQA Management Team in establishing and implementing escalation criteria and practices, ensuring timely and appropriate escalation of issues and risks, and accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with stakeholders and management to facilitate seamless coordination of activities.
  • Proactively drive the quality and timely end-to-end completion of projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of COO IQA procedures and coverage through the delivery of high-quality QA Book of Work and reporting products.
  • Provide day-to-day analytical and project support to the COO IQA Lead, including review of COO IQA deliverables.
  • This is a global position requiring interaction with stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and NAM, necessitating flexible work timings.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical domains with hands-on responsibilities in analytics projects. Prior experience in risk and control, internal audit, quality assurance, or control/monitoring processes is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated excellence in creating reports and possessing strong data visualization skills. Knowledge of Python, SQL, Tableau, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is a significant asset.
  • Exceptional technical, programming, and database skills. Proven ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in new programming languages to support review teams.
  • Documented success in independently leading projects from inception to completion, clearly articulating the value delivered.
  • Proven ability to maintain high-quality standards across multiple competing deliverables, with a flexible approach to workload prioritization.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills in English, with a particular aptitude for assessing and contributing to Board-level and senior management reporting.
  • Intellectually curious, consistently challenging data to uncover insights and understand implications.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's (BS/BA) degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Data Science is preferred.
  • (Preferred) Master's (MBA/MS) degree or Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
