Job Title: Mental Health Clinician  

YAI has an opening for a full-time mental health clinician within our Article 16 Clinic in New York, NY or at one of the other clinic locations.  The position at YAI provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working within the Center for Specialty Therapy and Premier HealthCare Article 16 clinics.  This includes providing Mental Health services in the Article 16 clinics. 

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities 

  • Providing individual, family or collateral psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities  
  • Conducting psychosocial assessments 
  • Being part of a multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc) 

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.) 

Minimum requirements of specific positions may vary by assigned function and/or contract. Please refer to applicable regulations/contracts for all position requirements. 

All Mental Health Clinicians must meet the following minimum requirements: 

  • Current LMSW/LCSW in New York State 
  • Bilingual Spanish

Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)     

  • Some evening hours and Saturdays preferred
  • Experience with Children 

Compensation: 

  • Salary is up to 60000 USD annually with bonuses
