Job Description:

Overview

We’re looking for an Intermediate Application Developer to help support, enhance, and evolve our customer facing apps. This role involves hands-on development, system integration work, troubleshooting, and supporting a cloud‑hosted, high‑availability application.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain application features using React.js (front‑end) and Node.js (back‑end).

- Support integrations with multiple enterprise APIs for merchant, order, policy, and payment processing.

- Handle and monitor webhook events, including troubleshooting failed transactions.

- Work with Redis for caching and Cosmos DB for storing merchant and order data.

- Deploy and support code through an Azure CI/CD pipeline.

- Ensure secure authentication flows, including OAuth and session‑token–based communication.

- Assist in maintaining application reliability across multi‑region active‑passive deployments.

- Help improve system performance, scalability, and resiliency.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of experience in application development.

- Strong proficiency in React.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS and API development.

- Experience working with the Shopify platform, including app development, webhook handling, API usage, and extension frameworks.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with NoSQL databases and caching technologies.

- Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns.

- Ability to troubleshoot issues across distributed systems.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of event‑driven architecture and webhook processing.

- Exposure to Java‑based backend ecosystems.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll support a full eCommerce workflow—merchant onboarding, order processing, policy creation, and payment handling—across a modern JavaScript stack integrated with multiple enterprise services. The platform runs on Azure with automated CI/CD, caching, NoSQL storage, and built‑in failover support.
