Our Human Resources Team provides HR guidance & support for the client group Leaders and Managers on organizational, cost efficiency, talent, and culture related matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other HR activities.

Individuals in this category act as the HR Manager of record for a client group. Expertise within a field comprising of different approaches, methodologies, techniques, and processes.

As a People & Culture Senior Specialist you will be responsible for:

 

Talent and Operational Excellence

The role will focus on employee experience and performance as part of the People and Culture (P&C) team and partner with the business to shape the people infrastructure and culture needed to attract, engage and retain the very best talent, including.

 

In-Country Business Segment People & Culture Partnership:

  • Participate in and be a key contributor at key management discussions and provide P&C input for in-country projects as well as employee engagement initiatives on the ground.
  • Provide input and guidance to the business on workforce planning and reorganizations from a local legislation perspective.
  • Provide in-country guidance and perspective on employee movements i.e. promotions and salary changes
  • Support any potential P&C diligence and integration initiatives as part of overall transformation within Baker Hughes.

 

Centers of Excellence Partnership:

  • Collaborate with Global Centers of Excellence (COE) to support Baker Hughes wide P&C initiatives and projects (e.g. Talent & Performance, P&C Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits and Global Mobility (immigration) Teams).
  • Provide recommendations for regional/country specific P&C policies in line with local legislations and collaboration with relevant COEs.
  • Communicate to the relevant stakeholders should there be any change/ update in the existing policy.
  • Provide recommendations for regional P&C policies in line with local legislations and collaboration with relevant COEs.
  • Provide guidance on solutions to business challenges that are not covered by current policies but require compliant and effective solutions that meet the needs of the business.

 

Labor and Employee Relations

  • Collaborate with Labor and Employee Relations Centre of Excellence (L&ER CoE) to successfully implement Labor & Employee Relations policies and framework for respective country.
  • Adhere to advised L&ER strategy, guidelines, and execute day-to-day L&ER activities at the local level applying knowledge of current legal requirements to ensure regulatory compliance, including.
    • Disciplinary/Grievances Actions: Receive employee complaints, arrange stakeholders for investigations, determine mitigation actions, and action together with the L&ER CoE.
    • Performance Management Partnership: with clear goals and milestones, coach manager through delivering and administering the PIP, and progressing mediation actions if PIP unsuccessfully met.
    • Restructuring activities: Provide guidance and expertise to leaders on risks, required documentation, facilitate legal reviews when needed and ensure local notifications to government entities are completed.
    • Point of Contact for Local Labor Authorities.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s Level or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in HR Resource Management / HR Business partnering roles.
  • Have experience in multinational company setup not limited to oil & gas, energy or mining.
  • Have experience in analyzing compensation & benefits
  • Have demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects and be able to influence across different teams.
  • Have an organized approach to problem solving with good analytical skills.
  • Have an experience in local legislation, industrial award, Union, EBA or CBA will be added advantage.
