Overview
The Information System Security Program Application (ISSPA) Customer Support Specialist provides front-line assistance to the Army’s COMSEC and Cybersecurity community, supporting users of the ISSP Application that enables critical planning, budgeting, and asset management across the Army. This role is highly customer-focused, combining technical troubleshooting, database support, user assistance, and training delivery. Candidates will support a dynamic, fast-paced mission environment requiring strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and comfort with interacting with users across the Army enterprise.
Job Duties
- Provide first‑level support to ISSPA users for application functionality, requirement generation, documentation uploads, browser issues, and general navigation.
- Achieve rapid response and high first‑contact resolution.
- Perform database edits such as adding/editing/archiving users, organizations, requirements, and uploaded documents.
- Log all interactions in a trouble-ticketing system and escalate unresolved issues to the Government Task Lead.
- Draft and distribute system bulletins, update messages, and user notifications within two working days of software releases or changes.
- Engage professionally with customers via phone, email, Teams, and in-person interactions to ensure clear guidance and quality support.
- Conduct user training on ISSP database navigation, workflow processes, and customer-specific records. Training may be virtual, on-site, or performed during conferences.
- Travel up to five times per year (CONUS/OCONUS) for week-long training events.
- Coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks, manage customer requests, and prepare supporting documentation or reports as needed.
- Ensure accurate data entry and proper recording of all customer interactions to maintain system integrity.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree
● Experience: 4+ years of related experience
● Must be experienced in military administrative procedures and be familiar with U.S. Army correspondence requirements
● Must have working knowledge of industry standard office automation tools
● Security clearance level: SECRET● US citizenship required
