Position Summary
As the Beauty and Personal Care Assistant Category Manager you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of product assortments and displays by collaborating with cross-functional teams to conduct market research, analyze trends, develop product strategies, manage inventory, and ensure timely and effective product launches. You will use your analytical skills, attention to detail, and creativity, to drive sales, enhance customer experience, and contribute to the overall success of the merchandising function within the organization.
You will develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives. Managing the entire lifecycle of products within the category, you will identify growth opportunities, market trends, and consumer insights to drive category performance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Determines the appropriate assortment of products within the category based on market demand, customer preferences, and competitive analysis.
- Monitors sales performance, conducts market analysis, and makes data-driven decisions to optimize product assortment and pricing.
- Develops and implements pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Gathers and analyzes consumer data, feedback, and market research to understand customer preferences, behavior, and buying patterns.
- Monitors vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
- Works collaboratively with a team of category specialists or analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and support by setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of product assortments
Education
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience

The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
