Meet the Team
The Product & Test Engineering (PTE) team is at the forefront of bridging design and manufacturing at Silicon Labs. As a Product Test Engineer, you'll join a collaborative and supportive team that ensures the quality and efficiency of our wireless SoCs and modules from prototype to mass production.
We work across a variety of cutting-edge technologies including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and Matter. Our work impacts every product Silicon Labs ships—ensuring performance, reliability, and yield optimization at scale.
Responsibilities
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by working on product characterization, yield analysis, and validation
Perform data collection and statistical analysis to assist in resolving yield, test, and quality issues
Contribute to test optimization, including setup debug, failure analysis, and limit refinement
Analyze yield, parametric data, and test results to identify and resolve issues affecting product performance, cost, and quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Test, Design, Quality, and Manufacturing) to support production readiness
Assist in defining product test plans, corner cases, and performance evaluation
Monitor and track parametric trends, identifying anomalies and proposing improvements
Learn and apply engineering best practices for releasing and sustaining silicon products in high-volume manufacturing
Skills You Will Need
Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Strong interest in semiconductor product development, testing, and data analysis
Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, test instrumentation, and circuit behavior
Familiarity with Excel or scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or JMP) for data analysis
Enthusiastic team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills
0–3 years of industry experience, including internships or academic projects
The following qualifications will be considered a plus:
Internship or project experience in semiconductor test, product engineering, or yield analysis
Exposure to wireless SoC devices, mixed-signal circuits, or embedded systems
Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and test flows
Experience with ATE platforms, lab instrumentation and test handlers
Exposure to or coursework in developing embedded firmware (e.g., in C/C++) for microcontroller-based systems used in test or validation environments
Familiarity with reliability standards or qualification testing
