Holman Upfitting has a great opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO!

The Production Supervisor will provide day-to-day direction to the department employees, analyze equipment and make suggestions for improved equipment performance, critiquing failures, and developing solutions. 

What will you do?

  • Oversee production activities across multiple shifts and/or departments to ensure products meet quality, customer service, safety, innovation, and cost metrics.
  • Control and utilize production capacity, manpower, equipment, and outside resources effectively to minimize losses and meet production schedules and policies.
  • Review production schedules, evaluate work orders, and prioritize tasks, assigning them to appropriate personnel.
  • Supervise daily activities required to process current jobs within established schedules, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise, train, counsel, and motivate department employees to maintain a high level of performance and teamwork.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding production activities, issues, and problems, facilitating effective decision-making.
  • Generate production reports, efficiency reports, and other requested reports, distributing them to appropriate personnel.
  • Review, correct, and submit records of hours worked for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Possess knowledge of assembly processes to limit scrap materials, optimize resource utilization, and reduce waste.
  • Understand the importance of quality in company success and work to increase product quality, particularly regarding appearance.
  • Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and disciplinary process for department employees, ensuring a qualified and motivated workforce.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think independently and seek assistance when needed, fostering a culture of problem-solving and collaboration within the team.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

What are we looking for?

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in automotive, truck-based industry, manufacturing environment, or a related area as an individual contributor
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a supervisory role; demonstrating ability to lead, manage teams effectively, and navigate managerial responsibilities
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and quality control measures a plus
  • Breadth and depth of expertise in a technical or functional area; knowledge of work processes and tools is generally limited to own area of responsibility or department
  • Reviewing and improving processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
  • Proficient in automotive, truck-based or manufacturing environment or related area with proven experience leading teams and improving processes, methods, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and quality control measures is a plus
  •  Degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus.
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Forklift/Pallet Jack experience a plus

Regular Full-Time

Temporary or Part-Time

In geographic areas with statutory paid sick leave, part-time and temporary employees will receive a paid sick leave benefit that meets the mandated requirements.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $66,320.00 - $94,505.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
