Senior Business Manager

Location: New York

Description

The Senior Business Manager will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Regional Head, Nort America. This individual will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, delivering data-driven insights, and supporting financial and operational performance across the organization.

The role requires a highly analytical leader capable of translating complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for executive decision-making. The Senior Business Manager will support strategic planning, operational optimization, and performance management by developing executive-level reporting, including financial and operational performance metrics such as EBITDA, revenue performance, and business unit profitability.

This ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial services, business analytics, strategic planning, and operational transformation.

Job Responsibilities:

The role duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:   

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team including COO and Board Level, supporting decision-making on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and operational priorities.
  • Lead the development and execution of key strategic projects (e.g. operating model transformation, optimization and tooling).
  • Design engagement model between sales and delivery to drive improved retention and add on sales.
  • Improve client interactions from CSM by created standardized reporting, templatized engagement models and tracking mechanism to provide insight into risk or opportunities for growth. 
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, financial reports, and analytical insights for leadership forums, including board and senior management reporting.
  • Drive annual strategic planning building overall COO roadmap (Operations and IT) aligned with function roadmaps.
  •  Develop and deliver executive-level business performance reporting, including EBITDA analysis, revenue performance, cost optimization, and profitability metrics across business units.
  • Translate complex operational and financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making by the COO and executive leadership team.
  • Partner with Finance to support financial performance analysis, budgeting insights, and business unit performance monitoring.

Operational Oversight & Coordination

  • Streamline executive operations by overseeing cross-functional initiatives and ensuring alignment across business units (fund accounting, investor services, middle office, etc.).
  • Strategy creation, assessment, communication and execution.
  • Track and report progress on strategic priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to improve efficiency and client service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain business performance dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor KPIs, operational efficiency, and financial performance across business functions.

People & Culture

  • Drive internal communication strategies to enhance organizational engagement and alignment with company objectives.
  • Partner with HR on leadership development, succession planning, and organizational design to support rapid growth.

Skills / Attributes / Experience Required:

  • Strong level of commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex business data and translate findings into strategic recommendations
  • Experience developing executive-level financial and operational reporting, including EBITDA, margin analysis, and business performance metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, financial reporting, and business intelligence tools
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of operational and financial data to inform executive decision-making
  • Advanced experience in transformation assessment and plan creation 
  • Experience in management consulting operations, strategy, or corporate transformation environments, with demonstrated success delivering large-scale strategic initiatives
  • Board and Senior Executive level of strategic influence
  • Capabilities assessment experience with planning and business outcomes (benefits) defined (i.e. Ops TOM)
  • Senior Leadership level of relationship building and management  
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of culture, personal leadership and alignment with global objectives will be key to success
  • Advanced decision-making skills and experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA a strong plus).

Salary ranges from USD $174,000.00 – USD $225,000.00. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
