The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our friendly and knowledgeable team based in our Parramatta office, where you’ll manage Total Loss, Fire & Theft motor claims.  With a focus on team work and our #QBEDNA this role is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career with full training provided.

Your new role

  • Provide an exceptional operational and customer service experience for diverse internal and external stakeholders with our customers, brokers and partnerships.

  • Assist in the growth and retention of business by providing timely and effective solutions that adhere to QBE guidelines.

  • Manage fire, theft & total loss claims in line with set procedures and policies, ensuring that claims are documented correctly, and resolved with a prompt and effective outcome.

  • Manage claims using the appropriate external and internal Recover and Salvage specialists to achieve the settlement outcome efficiently and effectively.

 

About you

  • Previous experience in motor or general insurance claims is advantageous but not essential

  • Strong customer service skills with a highly customer focused approach

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an engaging and courteous phone manner.

  • Ability to multitask effectively, managing competing priorities to meet customer needs.

  • Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to critically assess and prioritise tasks.
