Role Overview
The Product Operations team at eBay handles end-to-end execution tracking and reporting across all eBay technology organizations, promoting visibility, accountability, and data-driven decision-making at scale.
We are seeking a Product Operations and Planning Manager responsible for execution visibility, reporting strategy, and operational insights across marketplace initiatives. This role owns the consolidation and growth of reporting across several planning and execution tools. It works closely with data teams to deliver scalable data solutions and demonstrates how AI and automation can be used to improve team efficiency.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and design, and requires strong analytical thinking, coordination across functions, and clear communication of insights to collaborators.
Key Responsibilities
Execution Tracking & Insights
Manage comprehensive tracking and reporting of engineering progress throughout the eBay technology organization
Define and standardize metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to provide consistent access to progress, risks, and outcomes
Translate data into actionable insights to support product, design, engineering, and leadership decisions
Reporting Systems & Data Strategy
Take ownership of and improve reporting across Airtable, JIRA, Jellyfish, InfoHub, and other project planning and delivery tools
Partner with the Data Warehouse team to define requirements and support development of centralized data models and pipelines
Improve data quality, consistency, and scalability of reporting solutions
AI & Operational Efficiency
See opportunities for applying AI and automation to improve reporting, execution tracking, and workflows
Initiate and apply solutions that lessen manual effort and boost insight generation across all the planning and execution tools
Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with product, engineering, and data groups to coordinate reporting requirements, interdependencies, and progress updates
Drive consistency and transparency in how execution is tracked and reported across teams
What You Will Bring
5-8 years experience in business operations, portfolio/program management in a technology company, or a major consulting firm required
Strong project coordination skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple timelines
A data-driven approach and comfort with tools (e.g., Jira, Airtable, Tableau, Smartsheet)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable preparing decks, portfolio reporting and trackers, and meeting notes
Experience applying AI or automation to optimize operational workflows
Proactive, team-oriented mentality with an eagerness to learn and improve processes
A systems-thinker with strong instincts for structure, process, and governance
Ability to communicate with clarity and influence without authority
Collaborative, pragmatic, and resilient in fast-paced environment
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$110,000 - C$146,900Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
