About the Role

MEA ICSS Lead is directly responsible for Egypt in-country shared operations i.e. Statutory, Tax, Treasury and Close & Control functions for Egypt. Ensures Audited Statutory Financial Statements are issued on a timely manner, and Tax Returns are filed and relevant payments are issued according to Tax Laws. Works closely with Finance Director, GCC, P2P, O2C, various business functions and consultants to ensure achieving company’s objectives.

In addition to direct control of Egypt ICSS Operations, this role is accountable for overall MEA ICSS Operations for (Turkey, Saudi Arbia, Kenya and Pakistan). While ICSS Leads of these markets would be responsible for their respective markets but this position will hold the oversight and overall accountability for all the activities under the current scope of MEA ICSS.

Key Responsibilities:

Egypt ICSS Operations

• Manage issuance of Audited Statutory Financial Statements in coordination with External Auditors, Tax Consultants and various Haleon Departments.

• Ensures timely submission of Tax Returns and relevant payments. i.e.  Local Withholding Tax, Offshore Withholding Tax, VAT and Corporate Tax Return. Co-ordination with tax consultants for tax inspections & other matters

• Ensure Medical Stamp reporting to Medical Stamp Department is performed and payments issued on a timely manner.

• C&C Activities - Ensure BISON reporting is performed accurately and on time. Ensure fixed asset reporting including depreciation review, IFRS16 calculations, FA reconciliations, and WBS settlements and Review AUC projects before capitalization and ensure proper settlement rules.

• Review certain ICFW controls and Support in Internal Audit.

• Cash Management – ensuring liquidity (including forex) and investment of excess cash and Manage relations with Banks and Global Treasury Function.

• Support in obtaining Credit Insurance to mitigate credit risk.

• Support in Discounting Agreements with Banks as per Company needs.

• Monitor and report on monthly KPIs.

MEA ICSS Lead Activities

• Single Point of Contact : Act as the central contact for all MEA ICSS markets, representing the teams in regional and global forums.

• Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with critical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and trust across markets

• Escalation Management : Serve as the escalation point for MEA ICSS Market FD’s and FCs, addressing challenges faced with local ICSS teams promptly and effectively.

• Operational Governance : Regular operations meetings and reviews with MEA ICSS Market Leads covering – KPI’s, Compliance, Escalation & Support

• People & Team Leadership : Manage, mentor, and develop team members to drive performance and engagement

• Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement improvement initiatives across in-scope processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

• Operating Model Transformation : Support changes to the operating model and ensure smooth implementation across markets.

Key Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in statutory financial statements, audit, financial controllership, month‑end close and tax with multinational organizations.

• Proven track record in audit management, internal controls, SOX compliance, and governance frameworks.

• Experience in SAP, BISON, Cadency, and global reporting systems.

• Experience in business partnering with multiple functions locally and globally.

• Advanced knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and corporate finance.
