Packanack Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, passionate Veterinary Technician as we expand our team! As a GP technician in our busy, four‑doctor practice, you'll play a central role in delivering seamless, empathetic care. You’ll support wellness and sick visits, assist with general surgeries and dental procedures, manage in‑house lab diagnostics and radiology, and ensure smooth in‑house pharmacy and inventory operations.
As a member of the clinical team, in addition to traditional vet tech duties, you will be actively involved in:
- Client education and communication
- Detailed electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Diagnostics
- Reviewing medical records and lab work
- Calculating doses for both oral and injectable medications
- Rounds with the doctor for application of clinical knowledge
- Leading appointments (history, TPR, meds)
What We Offer:
- The pay range for this role is: $25-$28/hr. This pay range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed pay will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies
- $2,000 Sign-on bonus based on experience

Continuing Education:

What We Require:
- 1-2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- License preferred but not required
- Surgical experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and efficiency with ability to prioritize
- Resourceful problem-solving skills with active recall
- Dedication to providing excellent service for every client and patient
- Openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
- A passion for and commitment to the welfare of animals
