Under the direction of the Director of Student Leadership and Academic Development, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration, coordination, development, and enrichment of academic programs within the Bauer Leaders Academy. The academic programs under this role’s purview include for-credit coursework, curricular integrations, and academic milestone programs.The Program Coordinator supports both the design and continuous improvement of these programs while managing day-to-day operational needs. Because this role sits at the intersection of academic programming and student experience, the ideal candidate will excel at building and sustaining productive relationships with faculty partners and student participants alike.
Requires ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support program events and activities.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Administer and coordinate the Bauer Leaders Academy’s academic programs, including for-credit coursework, curricular integrations, and academic milestone programs. This includes (a) managing course logistics; (b) maintaining program schedules; and (c) serving as the primary point of contact for student participants enrolled in Academy academic programs.
Support the development and enrichment of Academy academic programs. This includes (a) researching and proposing enhancements to existing programs based on participant feedback and emerging best practices in leadership education; (b) assisting in the design of new curricular offerings, program modules, or milestone experiences; and (c) identifying opportunities to deepen the academic rigor and developmental impact of Academy programs. Throughout, ensure alignment between curricular programming and extracurricular programming by working closely with extracurricular leads.
Coordinate the planning and execution of academic program events, activities, and milestone experiences. This includes (a) managing logistics for program sessions, guest speaker events, experiential learning components, and capstone events; (b) liaising with internal WashU partners and external service providers; and (c) preparing materials, communications, and participant resources.
Support program assessment and continuous improvement. This includes (a) collecting and analyzing participant feedback and academic outcome data; (b) preparing program reports and summaries for Academy leadership and faculty partners; and (c) recommending and implementing improvements to program processes and the student experience.
Coordinate with faculty partners. This includes (a) coordinating with faculty to support the planning and delivery of for-credit courses and curricular integrations; (b) facilitating communication between Academy leadership and faculty instructors; and (c) ensuring that academic program logistics are well-organized and supportive of faculty needs.
Other activities required to support the achievement of the Bauer Leaders Academy’s mission and objectives.

More About This Job
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, higher education administration, leadership studies, organizational development, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in academic program administration, preferably in a higher education or leadership development context.
- Experience working directly with faculty in an academic support or program coordination capacity.
- Experience supporting for-credit academic courses or curricular programs, including coordination with a university registrar or academic departments.
- Experience working directly with college students, including advising, coaching, or program facilitation.
- Experience in program design, development, or curriculum enrichment.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), student information systems, or CRM tools.
