Let me tell you about the role
As a Technical Service Specialist at BP-Castrol (Thailand) Ltd, you will report to the local technical manager and be responsible for providing excellent technical assistance and solutions to our channel partners and customers, ensuring a good and crafted customer experience.
You will play a crucial role in handling customer relationships, understanding market dynamics, and supporting the sales process through technical expertise and insights.
Travel expectation - Upwards of 50% travel
Location Preference – Bangkok
What you will deliver
Strong understanding of lubrication and equipment application. Excellent understanding of industry trends and basic knowledge lubrication application in the following key industry sectors, mining, Industrial and CVO markets.
Relevant language skills as for applicable the market – English is meaningful
Should have a strong mechanical background and technical understanding of lubricants and how they apply to mechanical applications.
What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)
Technical, Application and Product Knowledge – Know equipment mechanical knowledge, able to recommend lubricants for the accurate application, have a good understanding of lubricant product knowledge and how automotive and Industrial lubricant's work.
Business Acumen – Able to demonstrate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) value selling concepts.
Problem Solving – Able to show logical thinking / process to methodical respond to problems
Must be able to independently lead or coordinate product trials directly with customers or distributors - team work
Experienced in product proof of performance through the accumulation of data to quantitively demonstrate product performance via the use of used oil analysis, condition monitoring and other techniques
Must have experience in preparing and articulating the outcome of product trials via a case study
Experience – 5 years working in a similar role within the lubricants industry
Education - Mechanical, Engineering, Reliability, Condition Monitoring or Chemistry background
ICML Training, Noria or other similar lubricants training
Proficiency in English and Thai (both written and spoken)
