Senior Software Engineer (Red Hat OpenShift)

What is the opportunity?

Join our data transformation team as a Senior Software Engineer where you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining mission-critical applications and services. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge container technologies, specifically Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, while collaborating with a diverse team of skilled professionals. You'll be instrumental in enabling data-driven insights and supporting essential business functions through robust, scalable solutions. We have members in both Toronto and Mississauga offices.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and services critical to data transformation operations
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Implement best practices for application security, performance, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high availability of critical services
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling
• Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• Proven experience deploying and managing applications on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
• Strong software development skills in modern programming languages
• Experience building and maintaining production applications in team environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members from diverse technical backgrounds
• Understanding of containerization technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices

Nice to Have

• Experience with data transformation pipelines and ETL processes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
