About the role

PAY: $19.40/hour + $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus

WORK SCHEDULE: 7:33 AM - 4:25 PM

BENEFITS: Available first day of hire

PRIMARY FUNCTION:                     

Primarily responsible for accurately weighing product and placing correct label on boxes. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.    

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:                        

  • Must accurately weigh product and place correct label on box. 

  • Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.

  • Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee’s scale. 

  • May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers

  • Do all tasks assigned by members of management

  • Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.

  • Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Poultry experience preferred but not required

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements

  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • PPE required but subject to change:  Hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, gloves, smock, earplugs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)

  • Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift

  • Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production

  • Must be able to lift and push up to 70 lbs.
