Position Purpose: Support the Midwest Regional Finance Lead (RFL) as Finance partner for the nine states in the region. Provide detailed analysis, participate in quarterly forecasting, and prepare executive-level presentations for business segment leaders.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating monthly close packages, investigating and reporting forecast variances.  

  • Preparation and presentation of financial results to Medicare and Health Plan leaders at Monthly Operating Reviews.

  • Performing financial membership forecasts and providing review/input into the actuarial forecast of gross margin.

  • Preparation of documents for Quarterly Business Reviews with Medicare Executive leaders.

  • Representing Midwest Region Finance in various meetings, providing guidance and participating in initiative ideation. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education /Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required.

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a related financial analysis role supporting business departments required.

  • 3+ years of experience in a Healthcare environment preferred.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • Medicare experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with Hyperion Essbase or OneStream preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Pay Range: $87,700.00 - $157,800.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
