This position reports to:
IS Service Owner__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Each day, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an Information Systems (IS) solution and associated IS services delivered to business. You will also showcase your expertise by consulting, advising, and supporting on the installation of new IS solutions/services, or changing existing IS solutions/services.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Ensuring that the IS solutions/services provide the required functionality, meet the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable.
- Approving, signing-off, and building any solution to be implemented on ABB production environment, within the respective service line, ensuring required quality and safety standards.
- Contributing to IS problem and incident management by identifying and eliminating the reoccurring defects.
- Defining the technical IS solution and ensuring alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration among IS solution architects and IS delivery units.
- Expert knowledge of information architecture principles and techniques, data management, data integration and data quality platforms and tools
- Solid experience with SQL Server (2016–2022); deep understanding of database engine internals, storage engine architecture, and transaction management
- Knowledge of: .NET, SQL, SSIS, Azure DevOps, API and webservices design, C#; application integration patterns; CI/CD concepts and release management
- Strong self-initiative, deep analytical, conceptual skills and work collaboratively
- Ability to understand processes/business requirements and needs which are supported by given application/solution
- Master’s in computing sciences or equivalent
- +5 years of experience in one or more IT/IT services areas
- Excellent communication skills with engineers and non-IT customers
- Eagerness to learn, understand, and take long-term ownership of a complex in-house developed solution
- Ability to independently drive architectural decisions and act as the technical owner of the application landscape.
