Cyber Security Engineer (f/m/d)

Key responsibilities 

In this role, you will develop and standardize tools and processes across ABB's Energy Industries division. As a specialist, you will create effective security solutions for automation infrastructure, ensuring our teams can operate securely and efficiently. Your expertise will drive knowledge distribution and regional training initiatives, establishing consistent security practices across the organization. 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• Developing and standardizing tools and solutions to enhance automation and security operations within Energy Industries. 

• Creating documentation and security processes that ensure consistent implementation and compliance with security standards across the division.

• Training and supporting regional teams on security tools, standards, and best practices to foster knowledge sharing and strengthen security awareness. 

• Advising management and stakeholders on security tool implementations, architecture and automation infrastructure solutions across Energy Industries. 

• Contributing to strategic security projects and initiatives that drive our standardization roadmap forward.

Qualifications for the role 

• You hold a degree in IT or have technical qualifications with a strong affinity for system architecture and software development. 

• You are highly skilled in operating systems, networking, and virtualization, and enjoy working within the IT security sector 

• Good knowledge in c#, .Net, PowerShell 

• Expertise in automation environments is an advantage 

• Experience in working with DevOps, Azure and Git  

• You are adept in common security norms and standards. 

• You are fluent in German and English. 

• You are driven to create efficient, standardized solutions and empower teams through knowledge transfer.
