About the role
As a Component Engineer specializing in electro-mechanical test jig products at NVIDIA, you will play a key role in providing the best electro-mechanical solutions for our design needs. You will be responsible for understanding the manufacturer landscape, assessing component parameters, and offering the most suitable solutions to our design team. Join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge electro-mechanical test jig products.
What You Will Be Doing:
Collaborate with the design team hardware , mechanical and FW/SW to understand project requirements and specifications.
Research and evaluate various manufacturers and suppliers of unique electrical and optical components.
Analyse and assess component parameters, including optical characteristics, data rates, power budgets, and physical form factors.
Recommend and select the most appropriate interconnect solutions based on performance, cost, and reliability.
Provide technical support to the design team during the development and testing phases.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in automated jigs technologies.
What We Need to See:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Optical Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience with electrical and optical components including lasers like VCSEL’s and EML’s, connectors, high speed cables, fibers, transceivers, and related technologies.
Experience in evaluating component parameters such as insertion loss, return loss, dispersion, and bandwidth.
Familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to optical interconnects (e.g., Ethernet, InfiniBand, Fiber Channel).
Knowledge in product management system (PLM) as Agile / PDP.
