Brief Overview of Position A Banker Associate I will have experience within Commercial Real Estate Banking line of business. This role will report to the Team Leader and will provide support to senior colleagues in delivering best-in-class client experiences and comprehensive financial solutions to clients across a broad array of industries. Seeking qualified candidates with a passion for a long-term career in Banking, that aspire to deliver superior client experiences, and has extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Have a deep understanding of RMs portfolio and clients.
  • Improve technical skills in deal structuring, term sheets, and complex UWs.
  • Complete cash flow models, BSC forms, pricing models, scorecards, and credit approvals
  • Work with Relationship Manager to review loan documents, barrower comments, and negotiations.
  • Attend client and prospect calls with Relationship Managers (RM) (approximately 10% of time spent), support meeting preparation, and coordinate timeline, meetings, and actions to execute and close deals.
  • Research and generate prospect opportunities.
  • Accurately log all activity in applicable Texas Capital systems (Salesforce, Alloscape, etc.) and utilize sales tools to develop call planning strategies.
  • Mentor first year analysts, interns, and STARs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.) or other relevant degree.
  • 2.5 to 3.5 years of experience in Banking, Commercial Banking preferred or other relevant experience.
  • Effective team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills - critical thinking, data and information analysis, research, and problem solving.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge and application of Credit Underwriting (i.e., cash flow models, financial spreads, and credit packages).
  • Strong knowledge of banking suite of products and services.
  • Strong utilization of Salesforce and MS Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint in order to produce reports, correspondence, and presentations
  • High interest in outreach to, and involvement in, the communities where we live and work.
