About the role

As Executive, AI Technology, you will lead a group of AI specialists at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence, working directly with our AI partners including OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, Google and Microsoft to stay ahead of the curve.

You will work alongside our client teams on complex AI challenges, thinking ahead about what emerging AI developments mean for both Quantium and our clients. Building the foundational tools and platforms that accelerate AI transformation at scale, you will cut through the hype with practitioner credibility - ensuring Quantium stays technically ahead while enabling both internal and client-facing teams to do their best work.

This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, balancing hands-on architecture with team development and platform innovation.

 

How will you make an impact? 

• Technical team leadership: Lead a group of AI Scientists and Specialists at Australia's leading AI company, building deep technical capability across emerging AI domains including agentic AI, multi-agent systems, and LLM applications
• Foundational tools and scaling infrastructure: Build and maintain the technical scaffolding that enables rapid AI development across Quantium. Lead development of tools like MCP Builder and Agent Scaffolding that allow teams to build MCPs and agents quickly. Establish patterns, frameworks, and platforms that turn one-off solutions into repeatable capabilities. Ensure we can scale from proof-of-concept to production efficiently
• AI platform evaluation and partnerships: Work directly with our AI partners including OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, Google and Microsoft on the cutting edge of AI development. Test, evaluate and provide critical assessment of emerging AI platforms and technologies. Cut through vendor hype with hands-on evaluation and practitioner insight. Think ahead about what emerging AI developments mean for Quantium and our clients, translating these insights into actionable strategies
• Enabling internal and client solutions: Work with our client teams on complex AI problems, acting as the technical knowledge source for both internal transformation and client solutions. Provide technical guidance and platform recommendations, creating the flywheel between internal technical investments and commercial offerings

 

The superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team: 

• Advanced technical foundation: Degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or a related technical field with a strong publication record, or equivalent practitioner experience
• Leadership experience: 10–15+ years in AI/ML leadership roles with a balance between hands-on technical work and strategic direction, demonstrating both capability building and leading technical team
• Deep practitioner credibility: Expertise in modern AI systems including LLMs, agentic AI, multi-agent architectures and MLOps. Ability to interpret code, review architecture and make technical trade-offs at scale
• Platform building experience: A track record of building platforms, tools or frameworks that enabled others to scale AI development - not just building individual AI solutions
• Technical foresight: History of early adoption of technologies that became industry standard, or successfully filtering out overhyped t
