Meet the team:

Manage the controlled environment room by setting objectives, organizing and delegating tasks, training and developing team members, and fostering a productive and engaging work atmosphere to ensure adherence to production schedules. Additionally, monitor and evaluate employee performance, implement and enforce safety protocols, manage inventory and supplies, coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations, resolve conflicts and issues promptly, and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Where you come in:

  • You will be responsible for executing the production plan and achieving yields within your area of production.
  • You oversee training and maintain complete training records for all manufacturing personnel.
  • You ensure that the manufacturing team understands and complies with documented quality standards and requirements.
  • You regularly monitor the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of manufacturing processes.
  • You supervise the maintenance of personnel records and timecards for staff.
  • You support the manufacturing lines by resolving issues related to manufacturing processes, equipment, materials, etc.
  • You develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • You act as a liaison between manufacturing, R&D, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure engineering requests are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • You are accountable for assisting with the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of the department, and for advising and making recommendations to the Manufacturing Manager regarding these activities.
  • You coordinate with various groups such as quality and engineering to analyze product failure data and test results, determine causes of problems, and develop solutions.
  • You ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met by monitoring performance metrics and implementing necessary improvements.
  • You perform other duties as assigned.

These responsibilities ensure that the supervisor effectively manages the production area, maintains high standards of quality and safety, fosters collaboration across different departments, and meets performance goals.

What makes you successful:

    • You have experience in high volume manufacturing, (medical device preferred) including start-up, scale-up/scale down and in commercial setting
    • You have experience with process transfers, process validation, and health authority inspections
    • Your proficiency and have thorough understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and they apply to process operation and process control
    • You are flexible in working shifts to meet demand

    Nice to have:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from College or university;
    • 5-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
