What You'll Do

 

The Assoc. Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations is a remote/field-based scientific expert responsible for communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, providing medical and scientific information on the appropriate utilization of therapy(s), and advancing therapeutic disease state knowledge. The Assoc. Director/Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations is a core member of the Medical Affairs Team, leveraging a scientific approach aligned with medical affairs objectives and therapeutic area medical plans.

 

The Assoc. Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations will be experienced, working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, specifically with product launch planning, rare disorders, or underdiagnosed patient populations.  This includes developing and executing a comprehensive field medical strategy plan, planning coverage and attending conferences, conducting trainings for field medical team and other cross-functional counterparts, delivering scientific presentations, and scientific exchange with physicians and other healthcare providers.  This role will be critical to compliantly evolving field medical initiatives, analytical reporting (insights and field activity), content development, conference coverage, and training for new hires across the organization.

This position reports to the National Head, Field Medical Affairs, and will require extensive travel, sometimes involving weekends.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Assigned responsibilities for the Assoc. Director, Field Medical Excellence & Operations

  • Partner with Head of Medical Affairs to define field medical strategy, HCP engagement plans, and coverage approach to meet company-defined goals within corporate and regulatory guidelines for products both marketed and in development

  • Assist with development and implement frameworks for field effectiveness, including KPIs, activity metrics, and qualitative impact measures

  • Support field medical launch readiness (territory design, targeting, resource planning)

  • Support and drive coordination of a robust conference plan, coverage, and reporting with an expectation to attend and providing active coverage/reporting fo
