YOUR MISSION
This role is at the center of decision-making, where you will directly influence how Glovo invests and grows in the market. With full P&L ownership, you'll not only manage the financials but also provide strategic insights that will guide the company's direction
THE JOURNEY
- Develop and/or maintain insightful management reports and analysis about the overall company performance and provide professional advice in relation to operational performance
- Gather input from the commercial & operations departments and translate & adjust them into budgets, forecasts and long term plans, defining and monitoring financial & operational targets to steer the performance of the Company
- Manage operational information, financial statements and preparation of forecasts & budget
- Be involved in management control: definition of procedures, the design of budget processes
- Prepare & present monthly, quarterly / annual finance reports and analysis (P&L and cost-saving plans)
- Prepare analysis and justifications of actuals data, forecasts, and deviations
- Study the viability of investments/projects - reports, strategic reorientation, etc.
- Assess new business opportunities and new vertical developments and changes
- Incubate and lead the launch of new projects in the Country
- Business partnering to Senior management in financial and operations matters
- Take part in the month end closing process from adjustments to the production of management reporting & accounting (P&L, BS)
- Investigate the reasons for differences between the planned and actual results, highlighting to superior management impact on the business
- Ad hoc analysis to provide the different managers with information for decision making
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- Academic background in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Mathematics (ACCA/CPA Certification would be considered an advantage)
- Extensive experience in financial performance, Finance Consulting, Investment Banking or FP&A roles
- Strong Budgeting and forecasting skills
- Experience of working in Commercial Finance in the E-commerce or FMCG industry will be considered a plus
- Advanced MS Excel Skills (pivot tables, sumifs, vlookup, Charts etc) & Google Workspace
- Knowledge of the English language (advanced)
- Strong problem-solving skills - you are hypothesis-driven & looking for data to drive decisions
