Job Description:
Join our Sydney team as a full-time Dispatch Coordinator. This role entails processing outbound orders, preparing freight for transport, and creating daily schedules for drivers.
This role will primarily involve:
- Scan and dispatch freight
- Stack and wrap pallets along with other warehouse duties where required
- Create air and road consignment notes (using both a computer and manual system)
- Lodge and collect freight at air and sea terminals
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, completing deliveries on occasion
- Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the customer needs
- Prepare daily work schedules and notify drivers of road hazards that may impact their travel time
- Monitor daily driver logs for errors, violations, working hours and equipment availability
- Process export and import shipments
You will have:
- 2 - 3 years of warehousing experience
- Customer service experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- A current forklift license or willingness to obtain one
- A certificate I-II in Warehousing & Distribution and/or experience in 3PL warehouse and freight forwarding will be highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Experience using dispatch software is highly desirable
