Internship: Python Tooling & Embedded Systems (C) (m/f/d)

We are looking for a student who is currently studying in or near Graz and is keen to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by supporting our automotive NFC Customer Application engineering team. This part-time position focuses primarily on Python-based software tooling, with additional exposure to embedded development in C. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real-world automotive projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain internal software tools in Python

• Support embedded software development in C

• Collaborate with engineers on design, implementation, and testing

• Participate in code reviews and team discussions

• Work with development tools such as Git and Jira

• Perform occasional hardware-related tasks (e.g., soldering, setups)

Profile Requirements:

• Ongoing enrollment in a relevant technical degree (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering or similar)

• Knowledge of Python (primary focus) and C

• Interest in embedded systems and related tooling

• Familiarity with Git and Jira is an advantage

• Good command of English

• Availability of at least 18 hours per week on average

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800,- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
