JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Head Coach with recruiting, scouting and practice planning.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform competition day duties as assigned, and monitor equipment inventory and care.
Assist with practice and competition day management and activities
Assist with organizational planning (travel, community service, study hall, etc.), and support player development and assist with roster management.
Help with the planning and organization of camps and clinics.
OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.
Must be CPR and First Aid certified.
Provide positive leadership for student-athletes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.
Experience:1 to 3 years of basketball experience.
Licenses or Certifications: CPR and First Aid certified
Financial Responsibility: None
Supervision: None
Special Knowledge: Know and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations, and pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Exam annually.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the University is closed.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
