Location – Malmö, Sweden

What you’ll do
Technical Delivery:

Lead the development of fast, scalable, and efficient machine learning models and code that meet hardware constraints and are edge-deployable. Ensure high-quality, performant ML code is delivered consistently.

Technical Leadership:

Set and uphold engineering standards, make architectural decisions around ML infrastructure and deployment, and own the technical roadmap in partnership with product and data science leads. Provide informal leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists.

Collaboration and Communication:

Act as a key technical voice bridging data science, engineering, product managers, and business stakeholders. Translate complex ML and engineering concepts into clear, actionable language for non-technical audiences. Proactively communicate risks, trade-offs, and progress.

Mentorship:

Support growth of team members through code reviews, pairing, and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected; primarily based in Malmö with hybrid work arrangement.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:

Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in implementing machine learning algorithms and delivering high-quality software development.
Strong experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders clearly and persuasively.

Nice-to-haves:

Experience in leading technical projects without direct people management responsibilities.
Background in AI or predictive maintenance within industrial or mining sectors.
Ability to work as a self-starter and manage competing priorities effectively.
Familiarity with edge deployment and scalable ML infrastructure.
