Engineering Infrastructure Services Lab Support

Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24x7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. They make an impact in all kinds of ways – from installing and maintaining servers and storage equipment within the fast-paced lab computing environment, through to providing top-level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users. What’s more, they work with engineering teams to create hardware configuration test plans in support of software development.

What you’ll achieve
As a Lab Support Engineer, you will be responsible for building and supporting development and testing environments in our Data Protection Engineering lab services program for data protection appliance and software products.

You will:
·Build and support development and testing environments consisting of storage and backup products, servers and switches including cyber security remediation

·Manage inventory and asset database

·Use AI and automation to continuously improve service levels and efficiency

Essential Requirements
• Physical installation of hardware

• Technical configurations of systems (storage, operating systems, top of rack switches)

• Asset Management and inventory control

Continuous learning & process improvement mindset


Desirable Requirements
• ServiceNow / ITIL experience

• Jira / scrum experience

• Windows/Linux system management

• VMware VM and private cloud management

• Data Domain and PowerProtect administration

• Infrastructure Automation

Compensation
