About the role

VCA Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kalamazoo is a 24/7/365 emergency, critical care and specialty practice, located in Portage, MI and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Neurology team.

Neurology Veterinary Assistant Duties:

  • Collecting patient histories & physical exams
  • Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
  • Safe handling and restraint of neurologic, mobility-impaired, painful, or seizure patients
  • Supporting advanced imaging procedures including MRI, radiographs, and other neurologic diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Surgical preparation and support for neurosurgical procedures
  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
  • Providing compassionate nursing care and patient comfort measures

Compensation: $18 - $31 / hour is based on experience and skill set

Schedule: Full Time, Monday thru Thursday
